On average, 25 children are killed each year by a parent.

alrighty then
let me start off by saying, if you're going to tell me that this statistic is insignificant and should not have been included in this series then i dont want to hear it.
it's your opinion and you're entitled to it by all means but this statistic absolutely disgusts me and it belongs in this series as much as any of the other images. i cannot begin to understand how someone can do such a thing to their own flesh and blood, and i'm not a mother.

now to the facts behind the statistic, i'd like to say that i know this isn't accurate, this does not include honour killings, i want to make that clear. the statistics for honour killings are even more appauling than this and will also be included in this series soon.
